TIC Coat No. 01 is a one-of-one wearable artwork created from reclaimed burlap coffee sacks. Neon embroidery, repeated TIC marks, and raised yarn lettering transform the original printed material into a tactile expression of Addison Stonestreet’s experience with Tourette syndrome.
The back reads “TOURETTE’S IS CONTAGIOUS,” using a deliberately provocative statement to challenge misconceptions and invite conversation. Inside, four pairs of reclaimed denim jeans are patchworked into the lining, with their original pockets repurposed as functional interior pockets.
