To give reference. Sparkle Smash is a popular, purple-and-pink unicorn-themed Monster Jam truck. My sister’s 3 year old son is obsessed with hot wheels. Particularly the Monster Jam Monster Trucks. Aaaand his favorite monster truck, that he does not have (yet), is Sparkle Smash. So for his 4th birthday next week. He will be receiving the Sparkle Smash Monster Truck. Along with this cool jacket. But wait…. there’s more. We also found a denim jacket with sequins on the arms like this one. So he will be getting two Sparkle Smash jackets.

This was a collaborative project between my mom, my sister and I. We thrifted a my little pony sequin jacket. That we thought matched the vibe perfectly.

We found some blue sequin iron on letters that matched the jacket. Along with an iron on black and white checkered lightning bolt.

My sister made the monster jam logo patch for the front. Using felt and embroidery floss.

I made the Sparkle Smash Monster Truck patch for the back. Using felt and embroidery floss.

We thrifted a denim jacket with silver sequins on the arms. My sister @the_alley_bob made two patches. The Monster Jam logo on the front and the Sparkle Smash patch adorned to the back! Using felt and embroidery floss.

We bought two iron on patches that we adorned to the front. One is a rainbow patch and the other is checkered flag patch.

Then we stuffed a mini Sparkle Smash truck in one of the pockets. That was actually very hard to find. Those mini’s only come in single mystery packages. So we had to blindly find Sparkle Smash using nothing but our wits and patience.
